Beautiful thistles always make me think of Scotland. This pom pom thistle is a fun and speedy craft to make and is a great way to celebrate St Andrews Day with the kids.

This project is great for younger children as the cutting and ripping up of the elements for the mosaic is good for honing those all important fine motor skills. It's also a fabulous stash buster, and there's something very therapeutic about sorting through you stash and selecting all the same colours.
