The set features a no. 1 handle with an inbuilt soft comfort grip and a magnetic end for picking up blades and other metal components, plus six no. 1 blades and a storage case. The tool is ideal for cutting out shapes in paper, card, foil and decals.

You can’t get the blades out individually without cutting your finger to shreds trying to get your nail under it and even then if it’s not at the right angle it gets stuck; which means you have to cover all blades but the one you want and tip it upside down.

However, I came across this one in store, and immediately decided to get it. I recommend this product highly, coming in its own case makes it easier to transport without it damaging. The comfy blue holder makes it easier to cut things without leaving blisters on your hands! I highly recommend this piece of equipment!! And it's cheaper than others with a mixture of blades!! GO GO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joe46 from Versatile and long lasting Equipping yourself with this modelling tool has a number of advantages. Firstly the price which is reasonable. Secondly it comes with a sturdy case and compartments for replacement blades. No cutting yourself fishing it out of the modelling box. Thirdly Hobbycraft stock replacement blades in all shapes and sizes. The blades themselves are good quality amd dont go blunt immediately which is another good reason to purchase it.

The soft area for grabbing is immensely appreciated in long sessions using it. Sadly, the system to secure the blade to the handle is not good enough to maintain the edge in place, rotating itself and leaving free the blade, getting lost in the cutting area in the material.
