A bit misleading
I designed what I was going to put in it before buying it. The description said 30cm by 30cm with 3cm depth. However, it is only about 2cm depth that you can actually fill. Also, there was a big border, that from the pictures looked like it was optional. However, if the border was removed, you could see the edge of the unpainted wood and it didn't look good. I had to manually cut down the border to make it less obtrusive. These problems aside, the box itself is high quality and looked lovely when finished.

Great shadow box, perfect for crafts
Lovely size shadow box for creating keepsakes.
Not 5 stars because there are some imperfections around the frame which does spoil the finished look. I have found this with at least 3 of the last 5 box frames I have bought.

Very good frame for my Christmas decoration.
I purchased this to frame a machine Christmas embroidery pattern piece.
I completed this last night. I intend purchasing more to be part of Christmas gift project for family and friends. I secured the fabric with the glue I purchased around the edge looks very nice. I am sure the receiver of the gift will be delighted. Unfortunately there was no bright green felt or Christmas fabric by the metre to purchase. Also since we now have one less fabric shop in the town of Falkirk I hope Hobby craft will increase there stock. Saving a trip to Glasgow.

Ok product
Bought these frames while they were half price, mixed quality. Had a problem with some of them- scratches on the glass and bad joins in the corners. The price was great, just a shame about these issues. The ines which didn't have these problems looked great though.
Not as good as the previous style of box frames which were half price.
If buying I would highly recommend checking the visual quality properly.

Nice quality frame and versatile
I used this to display a knitted flower. What I liked about it is that the depth is adjustable. I thought I might have to glue or secure the knitted piece in place to suspend it, but you can actually flatten it quite nicely. The backboard is quite sturdy.
It looks very sleek and the glass polishes up nicely. I have only knocked a star off because of the glass actually. It is quite thin, which gives a lovely appearance, but I imagine it could easily break if using too much force to secure something. You might want to wear a glove, as I managed a "paper cut" type cut from the edge of the glass and you don't want to accidentally bleed on your artwork!
I think this is better quality than many I've seen elsewhere and is worth the price for the quality.
