Opaque
Very useful when strong white highlights are needed in a watercolor painting. The permanent white really does show up when other whites do not.

Replacement white watercolour paint
Hi, just before this year's father day I mentioned to my kids I fancy a go at painting, since leaving school in the mid seventies I haven't picked a paint brush other than decorating the house or DIY. I retired this year I was thinking about a nice pastime activity to do, the wife had mixed feelings on my ability and with a artist paint brush, but she said has had to eat her words. The paint set and brushed etc that my kids purchased from Hoppycraft are great quality and top natch, I big thanks to my kids and Hoppycraft.

Great opaque colour
I purchased it to add some highlights and text to my watercolour paintings as normal watercolour white isn't opaque enough. This does the job!

Very good paint
This paint is the best brand for gouache paint I have tried! It’s thick and leaves a lovely finish. Bit pricey but worth it!

Great product
Worked great for mixing pastel gouache colours in a pallet, and is also really opaque on it's own

Perfect for using with watercolour
I regularly use watercolour but hadn't tried gouache before. This works perfectly with them to create an opaque white over the paint where it's too fiddly to use masking fluid. Very impressed as it even covered a mistake I made with permenant black ink - mistake was literally invisible once I had painted the watercolour on top.

not my usual medium
I have been using watercolour but needed an opaque white to add some highlights. This seems to do the trick though I hadn't realised it would have a slight sheen. It is a small enough tube and not too expensive for an experiment
