Women's Institute Grey Soft and Cuddly DK Yarn 50g

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product was quite disappointing Very disappointed in this product . I always feel the women's institute stands for something perfection usually and that was my expectation. After 6 rows of knitting there was a complete break in in the wool so I had to join it I hadn't finished that row when I came across a knot in the the yarn. So thinking it was just a bad ball I seriously expected the the 2nd ball to be better again within a few rows of knitting the wool came to an end so again I joined it only to find that piece was about 20cm an ran out before the end of the row causing me to unpick the whole row and cut that piece out. On a positive the wool is soft and nice to knit with but generally disappointed not impressed ladies

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and Value! What's not to like? Both the Grey Women's Institute DK and the Knit Craft Pink DK Hey Baby were purchased on the 3 for 2 deal which made for an excellent buy!. Both lovely and soft and of good quality; both knit up well. Used the pink Hey Baby for the Sirdar Cotton DK pattern purchased (7501). Had to adjust tension to a smaller size; otherwise the pattern was easy to follow and end product looks good! Very helpful staff at the Swansea, Fforestfach Hobby Craft store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value Knitted up as soft as the balls of yarn felt. Not always the case, even in baby yarns, have been disappointed in the past with the texture of the finished item compared to the feel of the ball of yarn

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and Cuddly Beautiful yarn to work with, knits evenly, soft to touch and beautiful to look at when knitted. Perfect choice for baby wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I thoroughly enjoyed knitting with this yarn I thoroughly enjoyed knitting with this yarn and consider it an upgrade on my usual acrylic choice. I knitted the ribbings (welts, cuffs, neckband and button bands) on a sweater for my niece and was delighted with the overall result. (I used WI Soft and Cuddly Striped Pink Mix as the main colour, with WI pattern leaflet 0212.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WI wool With my first grandchild on the way I was keen to knit some cardigans. This wool is luxurious & lovely to knit with & it washes well. I have now knitted a baby blanket in grey, a cardigan in multi coloured shades of blues & now knitting a second cardigan in multi shades of grey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So nice! I bought this yarn when i wanted to learn crochet, and then decided I didn't want to waste it and found some cheaper stuff instead. Once I knew what I was doing a little more, I used this and the pink one to make some bunting which looks really cute! This yarn has a nice feel to it, and it's smooth and not fuzzy, which works really well for what i wanted it for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistent quality This yarn looks and feels good and first 2 balls knitted up well then the third ball had lots of thin and raggedy bits. Even sections I’d knitted started to unravel and I had to rip it back. Explained in store and was given immediate replacement which is fine like first 2 balls
