Beautiful shiny colours
Beautiful colours. A white thread wrapped with 2 strands of metallic colour. I knew it would be tricky to work with compared to stranded cotton thread, as i have done goldwork courses before, but a beginner should know this thread is a little different. Better for couching and laid work as it unravels easily.

Perfect colour
I love this thread. The pewter colour makes it more subtle than silver. Because these threads are thicker than average my tip is to not use too long a length otherwise it can get a bit tangly!

Love this product
I've used one single strand of this metallic thread in a temperature blanket I'm crocheting to make a particular day (a birthday) stand out. It looks lovely

Beautiful effect, perseverance required
As others have said, this thread is fiddly. The ends invariably fray, it is prone to catching/knotting as you try to draw it through the fabric you are embroidering, and it can be snapped quite easily.
All that being said, I still love it. The shiny silver effect it produces is striking, almost luminescent. Worth having patience and persevering with it.

Wasn't aware this wasn't cotton
I'm not sure why you'd offer plastic thread as any alternative to real cotton - I don't think it was any cheaper, but it was horrible stuff. Threw away.

Very pretty, but fiddly
Gives an amazing effect, very very pretty. However it is far more prone to fraying and tangling than normal thread, so it is a lot easier to work with shorter pieces to avoid the horrible knots. Well worth the trouble!!

Difficult to stitch
Looks very pretty, but separating the strands is difficult, constantly knotting.
It's also very plasticy, not great to thread through. I use aida 14, and was definitely not the best to use for me!

Easy to use.
I really enjoyed working with this type of thread. I loved the overall effect it had on my design once it was completed, it made a 21st birthday card just that little bit more special.
