Rated 5 out of 5 by PatBan from You get what you pay for -Good pigmentation -Vibrant colours -Amazing dilution Faber Castell makes excellent pencils, Watercolour pencils are great when you are on the go along with watercolour markers, aqua pens and a scrap piece of paper for blending or plexiglass pallet. I love watercolours but no matter how portable the product may seem, it's not ideal to paint in the café or Library, however with watercolour pencils not either you get the freedom of painting, you also avoid alot of mess that comes along with using watercolours. Due to the price I would recommend this product for people who are passionate, no matter the skill level. They are a pleasure to work with. I paint both Cartoon and Realistic drawings and both seem to work great. 24 colours is all you need, but I would still invest in some warm dull greens and reds.

The colours are vibrant and well pigmented, they colour well, blend well, and react perfectly with water on the page and off. You can also make a whole multitude of colours when you mix them together. I would 100% recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Melanie G from Great quality pencils both dry and wet Purchased to replace an old, cheap set of ten watercolour pencils from a stationers, these 24 German- made pencils feel creamy to use and produce greatwater colour as soon as the water hits the pencil mark. The colour is true to the nib colour - and the colour name is written on each pencil. The pencils feel good quality to hold, sharpen cleanly and are presented in a tin that closes with a satisfying click. I believe that this pencil set set is worth the extra expense.

I saw these in hobby craft and thought I would try this brand and they were so much better. The pigment is vibrant and far from dull they leap off the page.They were far superior to the others, mixed with the water very well. I would recommend these pencils 100%. Well done Faber-Castell

A 25% discount and a Hobbycraft birthday voucher tempted me to try the Albrecht Durer pencils and I am so glad I did! The depth of pigmentation is great and it dissolves easy making them a pleasure to use. I also use inktense pencils and these are a good balance as the colours are more subtle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fudgelet from A joy to use Love these pencils, the quality is excellent as you’d expect from Faber Castell and the colours are vibrant. I’m glad I opted for the 24 set, it’s manageable and there’s a good range of colours. As they’re watercolour pencils you can blend them easily to create different shades. Lots of different ways you can use them, on their own or with other media.
