Then stitches for triangles are picked up from the side of an i-cord and knitted in garter stitch, simple decreases are made in every third row.

To make an i-cord string:

Use 3mm double pointed needles and long tail cast on to begin.

Using white yarn cast on 3sts.

Slide the work to the other end of the needle.

Row 1: K3

Do not turn your work, slide the work to the other end of the needle and pass this needle to the other hand.

Repeat: *K3, slide, pass* until the i-cord is approx. 295cm or the desired length.

Cast off.

 Weave in the ends.

Step 3

To make a triangle:

Switch to 4mm needles.

Leaving 35cm, place marker, measure 17cm from marker, place second marker,  pick up and knit 35sts along one column of the i-cord between markers.

Use the same column of stitches for all triangles to make an even bunting.

Leave 9cm gap between 17cm triangles.
