How to make
Start by opening up the project in the Cricut Design Space app using the project link at the top of this post, or alternatively use the link below -
Find the Cricut Design Space project link here >
You will be directed to a Cricut landing page, select 'Open' followed by 'Open Cricut Design Space Application'.
The app will open (you may be prompted to log in) and the project overview screen will appear.
Select 'Edit a copy' to open the project in a new Canvas, ensure you have 'Explore 3' or 'Maker 3' selected within the app, re-size the greeting as desired to fit your easel, then click 'Make it'.
Select the 'Without Mat' option from the pop-up that appears on screen, then click 'Done'.
Once through to the main section of the mat preview screen, make sure everything is present and corrcet before clicking 'Continue'.
Once through to the machine set up screen, choose the type of Smart Vinyl from the materials listing.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the cut.
Once the machine has finished cutting, remove the vinyl from the machine. Carefully cut around each section of your design so that you can use the remaining vinyl for another project.
Next, take your weeding tool and carefully remove all of the excess vinyl leaving only the images and text on the backing sheet.
Take a piece of Transfer Tape and lay it onto one of the pieces of your design, then scrap both sides of the vinyl to ensure good contact between the tape and the vinyl.
Carefully peel back the clear Transfer Tape layer, making sure the design is adhered as you pull it away from the carrier sheet.
Position your design onto the easel, then secure in place using the scraper tool to ensure the design is well stuck down. Peel the Transfer Tape back on itself (at a 45 degree angle) leaving the design onto the chalkboard.
Repeat this process until all of the pieces are transferred.
