How to make
You will also need:
* Cricut Design Space app installed on a laptop, PC, tablet or mobile device
* Optional: pom pom maker and yarn to create pom pom decorations
Open the Design Space app, and click “New” to open a blank canvas.
To find your image, click “Images”.
In the search box, type 'Star' and select your chosen image - we used Star image #M10D8B2A6.
Select your chosen image and click 'Insert' to add the image to your canvas.
Select 'Duplicate' to create two stars. This will enable the layered element of the design to be achieved.
To enable the Cricut machine to cut the stars from two different colours of iron-on vinyl, select one of the images and change the colour by clicking on the colour swatch next to 'Line Type'.
With one of the stars selected, click on 'Contour'. Select each section of the image that you do not want to appear within the final design.
Repeat the same process for the second star image.
You should be left with your two contoured images.
To check both star images, align how you want them once they are layered, highlight both images and click 'Align' and select the 'Centre' option.
Resize the layered star image as desired by selecting both layers and amending the measurements in the height and width boxes in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
Once happy with the size, click 'Make It'.
Decide how many of each shape you want and change the number in the 'Project Copies' section, then click 'Apply'.
Cut your iron-on vinyl down to the size you need, then apply to your mat using the scraper tool or brayer to ensure good contact.
Load your mat in to your Cricut machine.
Select your material from the options available and, when ready, start the cut.
Once cut, remove the vinyl from the mat and weed all of the images.
Apply your first (bottom) layer to the sack using the relevant EasyPress settings.
Top Tip: Use Cricut's online Interactive Heat Guide to determine the best time and temperature settings for the iron-on vinyl and EasyPress you are using.
Remove the clear liner from the first star layer, and then apply your second layer on top and use the EasyPress to adhere into place.
Continue to add the remaining stars to the jute sack.
Finish the hessian sack's design by adding a selection of pom poms.
