Download the design from the Glowforge Catalogue by clicking here >
Click to open it in the Glowforge App or navigate to app.glowforge.com and open the design from your dashboard
With digitally encoded smart technology, your Glowforge will instantly recognize the material and input the ideal settings for the perfect print.
In this project you will need just two sheets of your preferred color/type of acrylic/plywood.
If you’re using a scrap piece of material, drag and drop the design to avoid any holes left over from previous prints. Try not to change the size of the parts while dragging and dropping.
Top Tip: If a part accidentally gets resized, don’t worry. Click “undo” or use CMD/CTRL + Z. To reset the entire design, click the 3 dots icon in the menu bar, select “design details”, and click “reset design”.
Proofgrade materials with a QR code will be automatically detected by your Glowforge. If the QR code is missing or damaged, click the rectangle in the top left corner labelled “Unknown Material” to open the materials menu.
Start typing the name of your material until you see it appear in the menu below, and click to select.
Now is a good time to make sure you’re venting your Glowforge out a window or using your Glowforge Air Filter. If you’re using an Air Filter, turn it on now.
The cut, score and engrave settings are preconfigured for this design so you can start printing right away!
Click “Print” in the top right corner, and when the button starts to glow, press it to begin your print.
After the print is done, open the lid to remove your print and any scraps.
Top Tip: Save those scraps for future use; those small pieces would be great to make some ornaments for your trees or any other projects you’ve been waiting to make!
Now for assembly! Navigate back to the Glowforge App.
Click the 3 dots in the menu bar, and select “Design Details” to open the right hand sidebar. As with every catalog design, here you’ll find instructions on how to assemble your print. Click the teal plus sign to expand each step and follow the instructions to assemble your print.
