This pattern uses UK terminology

Sc = single crochet

Dc = double crochet

Dc2tog = double crochet to stitches together

Tr = treble crochet

Ss = slip stitch

Sp = space

St(s) = stitch/stitches

Granny Squares Step-1

Sizes: S M L Using a 2.5mm hook. Make 3, 4, 5

Round 1: Ch 3, ss into first back loop, ch3, 11tr into circle, ss into third back loop of the three ch.

Step-2
Row 2: dc in each st, (2.5mm hook) Row 3: using yarn B ch3, 1tr in same sp, *miss 2 st, 3tr*, repeat until last 2st, 2tr, 3 ch, turn Row 4: 3tr in each sp between the clusters, to end 1tr in top of last tr below,
Step-3
Row 5: using yarn C, ch3, turn, 1tr in the same sp, 3tr in each cluster sp to end, 2tr in top of the last tr below. (3.5mm hook) Row 6: using yarn A, ch 2, turn, dc in each st, ch 2 and turn Row 7: dc in first st, dc2tog, dc to last 3st, dc2tog, dc in last st, ch 2 turn,
Step-4

S= Repeat row 6&7 eight times ending on row 16

M = 12 repeats

L = 15 repeats (2.5mm hook)

Row 17: using yarn C ch3 and turn, tr in same sp. *Miss 2 st 3tr*, repeat to last two st, 2tr in top of tr below.

Body Step-1

Using a 3.5mm hook.

Row 1: Starting in the top right corner sp of the first granny square ch 2 using yarn A, dc into same sp, dc across each tr making 2dc into each corner, end with 2dc (58, 78, 98), 2ch turn

Row 2: dc in each st, (2.5mm hook) Row 3: using yarn B ch3, 1tr in same sp, *miss 2 st, 3tr*, repeat until last 2st, 2tr, 3 ch, turn Row 4: 3tr in each sp between the clusters, to end 1tr in top of last tr below,
Step-3
Row 5: using yarn C, ch3, turn, 1tr in the same sp, 3tr in each cluster sp to end, 2tr in top of the last tr below. (3.5mm hook) Row 6: using yarn A, ch 2, turn, dc in each st, ch 2 and turn Row 7: dc in first st, dc2tog, dc to last 3st, dc2tog, dc in last st, ch 2 turn,
Step-4
S= Repeat row 6&7 eight times ending on row 16


M = 12 repeats


L = 15 repeats (2.5mm hook)


Row 17: using yarn C ch3 and turn, tr in same sp. *Miss 2 st 3tr*, repeat to last two st, 2tr in top of tr below.

Step-5
Row 18: using yarn B ch3, turn, 3tr in the cluster spaces until the last two st, 1 tr in the top of the last tr below


Row 19: 3ch, turn, 1tr in same sp, 3tr in the cluster spaces, 2, tr in the last tr. (2.5mm hook)


Row 20, using yarn A, ch 2, turn, dc in each st, ch 2 and turn


Row 21: dc in first st, dc2tog, dc to last 3st, dc2tog, dc in last st, ch 2 turn, Repeat rows 20 and 21 until the pattern is the desired length. S = 4 repeats, M = 7 repeats, L = 11 repeats ending on the right side of the top.

Edging: Step-1

Edging: (3.5mm hook)

Row 1: in yarn A ch 2, dc in each st around the entire top, in the corners 2dc, ch1, 2 dc, ss into back loop of starting ch2, ch2, turn

Row 2: ch3, 2tr into same sp, *miss 2st, 3tr* repeat from * to *, ss into back loop of 3rd starting ch.

Straps: Step-1

Join yarn A in top right corner of the top, and ch 151, 251, 351, turn and sc into the back of the ch from the second sc, ss where joined. Repeat in the top left corner of the top. Sew ends in.

To Lace: Step-1

Cross the left and right straps over your shoulders behind your neck, push one side through the loops created by the tr clusters next to the top row of yellow clusters then cross over behind your back and push though the loop near the bottom row of yellow, cross over again and pass through the loops half way down the granny square panel and tie. Pick loops to push through to fit the comfort of your torso.
