The pattern is written using UK crochet terms. The boot cuff is made from the bottom up in a round. Each round is joined by a slip stitch. The pattern can be customised to fit any size.
Tension/Gauge is not hugely important for this project, just check that the cuff fits a few times throughout the process, or adapt the pattern accordingly.
Ch 43, leave a 10 cm tail at the start of the chain. To change the size of your boot cuff, ch a number dividable by 3 + 1. Round 1: HTR in the 2nd ch from hook and continue working back along the chain. HTR in each ch along, joing with a sl st at the beginning of round but take care not to twist your work. When you have finished your boot cuff, use a darning needle to stitch together the gap in the foundation chain.
