How to make

How to Make the Crate Step 1

Paint all of the outer slats of the crate using white paint. Mask off the edges for a neat finish.

Step 2
Once the crate is dry use distress ink and a blending tool to stencil the bees in a random fashion.

Step 3
Attach the bunting to the front then fill the crate with straw, place all the gifts inside and finish off with a few sunflowers and leaves for decoration.
How to Make the Bunting Step 1

Ink up a sheet of white A4 cardstock using yellow distress ink, splash with water and wait a few seconds then lay a piece of kitchen towel over the top to soak up the water creating a unique pattern.

Step 2
Die cut 11 small triangles from the prepared cardstock, create the BEE PAMPERED wording by stamping the letters using alphabet stamps and black ink.
Step 3
Cut a piece of twine that will fit across the front of the crate. Glue each flag to the twine ensuring to leave equal gaps between each flag.

How to Make the Sleep Mask Step 1

Draw and cut out the mask shape using cardstock to create a template.

Step 2

Lay the template onto the reverse side of your chosen fabric, draw around the template with a pencil.

Step 3

Cut around the shape at approximately 5mm around the pencil line, this will allow for sewing. Repeat this step again so there are two identical pieces.

Step 4

Use the template again to draw and cut out a piece of felt only this time ensure to cut a few millimetres less so the felt will fill nicely inside the mask.

Step 5

Cut a length of elastic approximately 25cm. You can hold the elastic around the back of your head to judge how much you will need.

Step 6

Lay the two fabric pieces together with the right sides facing inwards, lay the elastic across and pin all the way around the edge.

Step 7

Sew around the edge following the pencil line, ensure to catch the elastic in as you sew. Leave a gap of about 6cm.

Step 8

Turn the mask inside out so the pattern is now on the outside, feed in the felt piece then sew up the gap turning in the fabric as you sew.

Extra Gifts

Use the inking technic to make new labels for some of the gifts.

Jazz up a candle by wrapping twine around the middle, secure in place with a small dab of glue.
