How to make
Clean the surface of the glass cube with glass cleaner to make sure there aren't any small bits of dust or marks before we start. If you're using the template, print this off and place this under the cube. Make sure the side with the plastic lid is at the top (this is where the money will drop in from).
Start tracing the outlines of the letters. If you're using the template- only use it as a rough guide because the glass will magnify the design. You might find it easier to close one eye to help you trace!
Fill in the letters by colouring them in, smoothing out the outline.
Clean up the letters and don't worry if you make a mistake- just use a damp clean cloth or glass cleaner to carefully wipe it away and start again!
Move on to the other letters, mix up the colours you're using to make it a little more colourful.
Once the paint has dried, add details like an outline, shadows or highlights
Start filling in the space with simple star shapes like this 6 spoked star
Add a crescent moon to the bottom left corner but drawing the outline and then filling it in.
Fill in the gaps using a mix of colours and shapes, from simple dots and 'sprinkle' lines.
Cut the felt into a rectangle measuring approx. 5cm x 16cm.
Remove the lid and Insert the felt into the glass. You might need to use a pen to help it lay flat at the bottom.
Keep the lid off to make it easy to drop those coins in for charity!
