Step-5
Place a channel piece onto one of the outer pieces approximately 8 centimetre for the top, centralise and pin in place. Then, stitch along each long side of the channel. Reinforce stitches at beginning and end. Repeat on the other outer piece.
Step-6
Cut three different colour triangles for the Christmas tree motif. Place the first triangle 1 cm down from the centre of the channel and then stitch around each edge. Then place the next triangle, stitch in place and repeat for the last triangle.
Step-7
Cut the lettering from the felt and place under the Christmas tree. Remember to leave at least 15 centimetres from the bottom of the sack. Sandwich the fusible web (cut to size) in between the felt sheet and the sack and gently iron until fused.
Step-8
With right sides together pin an outer to an inner piece along the top edge and then stitch. Repeat with the other outer and inner pieces.
Step-9
With right sides together pin the bottom edge of the inner pieces and then stitch. Repeat this step for the outer pieces.
Step-10
On the bottom edge of the inner piece fold 4 centimetres up on each side of the bottom seam and pin in place. Repeat on the bottom outer edge.

Step-13
Attach a safety pin to the red cord and feed it through each channel, make sure your work is flat before you tie the two ends together. Repeat with the gold cord but feed in the other direction.
Step-14
Arrange the coloured pompoms and fix in place with hot glue. You can stitch the pompoms on if you prefer.
