How to make
Download, print and cut out the succulent templates.
Draw around the templates onto the coloured felt, repeating in a mixture of colours.
To fill the wreath I made a combination of the different succulent styles and sizes.
Top Tip: Start by making the larger style of plants first and then create smaller ones to fill any gaps. You can also cut singular leaf shapes to fill any awkward gaps.
Begin assembling the succulents using the instructions below.
1. Put a small line of hot glue in the centre of a small petal and fold the petal at an angle. Add a line of hot glue to the bottom edge and roll into a cone shape to create the centre.
2. For the rest of the petals, put a line of hot glue in the centre and fold at an angle. Add a line of hot glue to the bottom of the petal and attach the the centre piece.
3. Continue adding pieces in a circular pattern. Follow the petal counts in the downloadable template for each size you make.
An alternative way to make these succulents is to put a small line of hot glue in the centre of a small petal and fold the petal at an angle.
Add a line of hot glue to the bottom edge and roll into a cone shape to create the centre.
Then, instead of folding the remaining petals, simply stick the base of the petal to the centre, continue working around until you have a complete succulent.
This method will create some larger succulents for your wreath.
Cut a long rectangle from a sheet of felt, put a line of hot glue along one of the long edges, and fold the sheet over securing the remaining long edge in place on top of the glue.
Once dry, snip into the folded edge of the roll, stopping 2cm from the glued edge.
Starting at one end roll the length of felt up and add a small dab of hot glue to secure on the end to secure it in place.
Once you have made a combination of succulents you can now arrange them to fill your wreath.
Play around with the layout, mixing the different shapes and styles together. Secure each in place with a glue gun when you are happy with the arrangement.
