How to Make Colourful Marbled Eggs
Marbled eggs are a fantastic Easter decoration, and they're so simple to make! Each egg is totally unique, and there's no end to colour combinations that you can try.
These bright decorations look great hanging from a white twig tree or dotted around the house in bowls. Follow the simple tutorial below to find out how to make your own.
You will need
How to make
* Hanging Egg Decorations
* White Acrylic Paint
* Vitrail and Ceramic Paints
* A Paintbrush
* A Wooden Skewer
* A Plastic Container
* Room Temperature Water
* Newspaper/Paper Towels (to protect your work surface)
* Ribbon (optional)
Thread and tie a loop of string through the metal hanger on each egg.
Give your eggs a couple of coats of white acrylic paint as a base (this will help to make the marble colours really vivid).
Cover your table with paper towels or newspaper to protect it. Then fill the plastic container three-quarters full with water at room temperature (if the water is too cold or too hot, the paints will sink or thicken too quickly).
Hang your painted eggs up to dry overnight.
When dry exchange the string for ribbons to finish off your marbled egg collection.
