This summer is a perfect time to throw outdoor parties, no matter what the occasion! Add the perfect finishing touches to garden party decorations and summer celebrations with these foiled cake toppers – easy to add to cupcakes and cakes, and perfect for personalising.

The Cricut Joy Foil Transfer System has been used to create this project, but you can also use your Explore or Maker machine.

How to make

Step 1

Start by opening up the project in the Cricut Design Space app using the project link at the top of this post, or alternatively use the link below - https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/6050bc8893bbbb107c2b4653

To access the project, copy and paste the link into your browser, you will be directed to a Cricut ladning page, select 'Open' followed by 'Open Cricut Design Space Application'.

The app will open (you may be prompted to log in) and the project overview screen will appear.

Step 2

Select 'Edit a copy' to open the project in a new Canvas, ensure you have 'Joy' selected within the app (or whichever machine you are using).

The project can then be used as a template for your own cake topper designs.

Step 3

Prep the foil by placing it over the top of the cardstock, using the suppleid adhesive strips within the Foil Transfer Kit to secure the foil to the cutting mat.

Step 4

Follow the on-screen instructions to create the project, beginning by loading the mat into the machine with the Foil Transfer Tip loaded.

Switch the tip when prompted to perform the cut.

Step 6

Once cut, unload the mat from the machine and carefully remove the foiled pieces.

Glue lollipop sticks and add ribbons to the back of the cake toppers signs and allow few minutes for them to dry.

Step 7

Once dry, simpley insert them into your cake or cupcakes.
