Daisy: Step 1

Petals

To create the petal loops, take a yellow pipe cleaner and wrap it around a thick pen. Slip it off the pen to form a spring shape.

Twist one end through the centre to secure it.

Gently separate the loops and flatten them into petal shapes.

Repeat to make a total of seven petals.

Daisy: Step 2

Petals (Continued)

Glue together four petals to form one cluster, and then glue together the remaining three petals to create a smaller cluster.

Glue the smaller cluster on top of the larger one.

Daisy: Step 3

Centre

Bend a brown pipe cleaner into a spiral.

Bend a white pipe cleaner into a tight zigzag.

Apply glue along the bottom of the zigzag and stick it around the brown spiral.

Gllue the centre to the petals.

Daisy: Step 4

Leaves

Cut a green pipe cleaner in two and bend each piece in half.

Connect the two loops and twist one to secure them together.

Bend the four ends to align parallel. Take one of the outer pipe cleaners and wrap it around the rest to form a leaf shape.

Repeat this to make a total of two leaves.

Daisy: Step 5

Assembly

To create the stem, take a green pipe cleaner and coil half into a spiral, leaving the other half straight.

Wrap a piece of hobby wire, the coiled green pipe cleaner, and a spare pipe cleaner together, using about 30cm of floristry tape. As you wrap, incorporate the leaves to attach them to the stem.

Finally, glue the daisy head securely onto the stem.

Lavender: Step 1

Petals

Take four pipe cleaners and cut each into six 5cm long pieces.

Bend each 5cm piece into a loop and twist the bottom to secure.

Lavender: Step 2

Leaves

Cut a green pipe cleaner in half and bend each piece in half.

Connect the two loops and twist one to secure them together.

Bend the four ends to align parallel. Take one of the outer pipe cleaners and wrap it around the rest to form a leaf shape.

Repeat this to make a total of three leaves.

Lavender: Step 3

Assembly

Take a piece of hobby wire and a spare pipe cleaner, and wrap them together using about 30cm of floristry tape.

Cut another 30cm piece of floristry tape. Starting at the top of the stem, attach one loop tightly, then continue down, attaching the petal loops in sets of three.

About a third from the bottom, use the tape to attach the leaves. If you run out of tape, simply add another piece.

Peony: Step 1

Petals

Cut 18 arch shapes from pink felt: six large (5 x 6cm), six medium (4 x 5cm), and six small (3 x 4cm).

Snip a 5mm slit at the top of each arch.

Cut a small triangle out of each side of the arch.

Apply a spot of glue on the slit and overlap the felt to create a 3D petal shape.

Add another spot of glue on the straight bottom edge and pinch the felt to enhance the 3D effect.

Peony: Step 2

Centre

Cut a piece of yellow felt measuring 25 x 2cm. Cut out a notch about a third of the way along the strip.

Cut along the edge of the felt to create a fringe, to add texture.

Peony: Step 3

Assembly

Take a piece of hobby wire and two spare pipe cleaners. Wrap them together using about 30cm of floristry tape.

Apply glue along the bottom of the yellow felt strip and roll it tightly around the stem, with the fringing facing upwards.

Starting with the smallest petals, glue them around the yellow centre, working your way up to the larger petals.

Cut a flower shape from green felt and slide it over the stem to conceal any joins on the bottom of the flower. Glue in place.

Cut two leaf shapes from green felt and glue each of them to a 10cm piece of hobby wire.

Attach the leaves to the stem using floristry wire.

Tulip: Step 1

Petals

Cut four pieces of red pipe cleaner, each 15cm long. Line up three pieces and bend the fourth around the middle.

Twist the bent pipe cleaner to hold all four pieces together.

Bend the eight ends to align parallel. Take one of the outer pipe cleaners and wrap it around the rest to form a petal shape.

Curl the twisted end around your finger for a natural curve. Pinch the top and spread the pipe cleaners until you achieve a tulip petal shape.

Repeat this to make a total of three petals.

Tulip: Step 2

Leaves

Take two green pipe cleaners and bend each in half.

Connect the two loops and twist one to secure them together.

Bend the four ends to align parallel. Take one of the outer pipe cleaners and wrap it around the rest to form a leaf shape.

Repeat this to make a total of two leaves.

Tulip: Step 3

Assembly

Take a piece of hobby wire and two spare pipe cleaners. Wrap them together with about 30cm of floristry tape.

About halfway down the stem, incorporate the leaves by attaching them with floristry tape.

Glue the petals one by one to the top of the stem.

Spread out the petals until you're satisfied with the tulip shape.

Eucalyptus: Step 1

Leaves

Fold a felt sheet lengthwise. Position the straight edge of the template along the folded edge. Trace around the template.

Cut out three small, three medium and three large leaf shapes from the felt.

Add a small snip to the centre between the leaves to create a hole for the stem.

Eucalyptus: Step 2

Assembly

Take a piece of hobby wire and thread it through the hole in one of the small leaves. Stick the two halves of the felt leaf together with glue, so the leaf points straight up.

Begin threading on the rest of the leaves, starting with the smaller ones. Apply a spot of glue in the centre between two leaves.

Pinch where you put the glue to create a 3D effect.

Keep adding leaves until you reach the bottom of the stem.
