Betty Crocker vanilla buttercream
Round cutter

Rolling pin
Clean paintbrush
Water
Use a small palette knife to spread a dome of buttercream on top of your cupcake.
Thinly roll out the red icing and use a large round cutter (approximately 7-8cm diameter) to cut a circle of icing slightly bigger than the size of your cupcake. Add the circle of icing to the top of the cupcake and gently smooth it downwards using your hands in a cupping motion until it meets the edge of the cupcake case.
When you have covered all of your cupcakes with red icing you can move on to the white spots. Thinly roll out the white icing and use all 3 sizes of the round plunger cutters to cut out spots and attach to the cupcake with a little water.
TIP: to cut and attach each spot, press the cutter firmly into the icing to make a clean cut and then, with the icing still inside the cutter, use a small paintbrush to dampen the bottom of the spot with a bit of water and depress the plunger to extract the icing spot directly onto the cupcake.
