Describe your crafting style.
Neat!
What was the first thing you made?
I blew my own tumbler for the pilot of Kirstie's Homemade Home with Will Shakespeare in Taunton – I'd obviously made things before, but that's the first on record, on camera.
How did you get into crafting?
My mother was an interior decorator and my dad an auctioneer and collector of old things. I was brought up in a house where everything was repurposed and reused in some way, shape or form, so I've really never not been into crafting.
What's your favourite thing you've made?
Cocktails – terrible thing to say, but there is a real skill in it, and I do love it.
Which of your makes are you most proud of, and why?
The quilt I made with Jo Colwill for my son.
Have you had any crafting disasters along the way?
Tons. You learn from your mistakes.
Where do you find inspiration for makes?
Everywhere; in houses, I visit, in my kitchen, along my road, at antique fairs and all sorts.
What is your favourite thing about the Handmade Fair?
The sense of community and sharing.
