This machine is noisy and is more like a toy than a proper sewing machine. Initially it constantly jammed and I was going to send it back. However I realised that the tension was screwed down really tight and once I loosened it off considerably I managed to get it stitching quite well. Someone with no knowledge of sewing would probably not work this out so perhaps there should be a mention of this in the instruction manual. My other issue is that because of this tightness you have to be gentle when removing the fabric after stitching, if you just pull it the thread snaps.
My experience is that the machine stitches well but you have to spend time on the tension, you can't just take it from the box and go

Great little machine to get kids interested
Great little kids sewing machine. Threads similar to a regular machine. We did find that every time you stop to remove fabric you need to pull a bit more of the upper thread down otherwise you'll start again and the thread will break. Other than that it's ok

Kids sewing machine
Machine works really well, my little boy loves it. Before use loosen the tension on the thread, this is just a manufacturing thing which is perfectly normal. 100% recommend for very basic level of sewing. I feel that the best feature is that you can either use it with or without the foot pedal and that you can use it from the mains or battery powered.

Doesn’t work
I bought this yesterday and the bobbin gets stuck constantly, even on the most lightweight fabric, returning it.

Cheap Starter Sewing Machine
Had to replace it with a 12s sewing machine. Tension too tight and snapped thread.
