Matt Louth

Matt has been IT Director at Hobbycraft since March 2018. He is accountable for all of the technology across the business, from the tills in store to the software that runs the distribution centre and the platform that serves the Hobbycraft website.

Matt came to Hobbycraft following three years at The Body Shop leading their International Customer and Digital Systems. He has also previously headed up eCommerce Systems and IT Delivery at Waitrose, managed a significant programme of IT change at M&S, and led IT for B&Q Direct as the retailer launched their first eCommerce operation back in the early 2000s.

Although he has a deep-rooted passion for football and his beloved Portsmouth FC, being a father of two children under five currently limits Matt’s participation on the terraces. However, he does occasionally manage to get his kayak out on the river, is a perfectionist cake-maker (supplying bakes for all family celebrations), and never lets anyone forget that he is, in fact, a retired racing driver.
