How to make
You will also need:
* Food Safe Lollipop Sticks
* 12 cupcakes
* Chopped pretzels
Crumble up the cupcakes in a bowl into fine crumbs. Stir in the frosting a teaspoon at a time until the mixture is thick and holds together when squeezed in your hand.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Divide the mixture into seven and use your hands to squeeze and mould the mixture into ice pop shapes. Lay them down on the lined tray and insert a lolly stick into each one. Put the tray of cake pops into the freezer until they are solid – approximately an hour or even overnight.
According to the design you wish to make, melt the appropriate coloured Deco Melts in a bowl over a pan of hot water.
Remove the cake pops from the freezer and use a spoon to coat the cake pop with the melted Deco Melts.
Lay the cake pop back down on the tray to set and decorate as desired.
To create the Christmas tree design, coat the cakesicle in green Deco Melts.
When this layer has set, use a fork to drizzle more green Deco Melts over the cakesicle and decorate with colourful sprinkles, stars, and silver balls.
Top Tip: Have all the icing pieces ready made before dipping the cakesicle into the melted Deco Melts.
To create the snowman design, coat the cakesicle ith white Deco Melts.
Add a thin strip of coloured icing across and down each side for the scarf.
Cut an extra piece and use a sharp knife to cut tassels for the end of the scarf – attach in position.
Add two black balls of icing for the eyes and a carrot nose made from orange icing.
Finally, add star sprinkles for the buttons.
To create the Rudolph Reindeer design, make a big round nose from red icing and two small black balls for the eyes.
Use a sharp knife to cut across two pretzels to make the antlers.
Dip the cake pop in lukewarm melted chocolate – add the eyes and nose and place the antlers at the top of the reindeer's head.
Add sprinkles if desired.
Embellish your remaining cake pops with pretzels and mini meringues or freeze-dried raspberries and golden sprinkles for a touch of luxury!
Use snowflake plunger cutters to stamp out shapes from white flower paste and add these to your cake pops for a festive look.
Top Tip: You can change up the shades of the Deco Melts by mixing colours together, try adding a few black Deco Melts to the blue to make a teal shade.
Once the caksicles are completely set, they're then ready to be packaged up and gifted, or eaten!
