How to make

White Button Mushroom - Step 1

Using any of the fineliners, begin by drawing a curve. You can choose to draw the mushroom outline in pencil first then go over it with the fineliner after if it makes it easier.

White Button Mushroom - Step 2

Draw in the stem of the mushroom as a U shape (bigger at the bottom and smaller at the top), ensuring you connect it to the curve you just drew.

Add the top of the mushroom.

Add two lines to connect the top of the mushroom to the stem.

Using your largest fineliner, fill in the entirety of the inner part of the mushroom.

White Button Mushroom - Step 6

Using one of the smaller tip fineliners, use the cross hatching technique to create shadows on the base of the mushroom. Have the lines closer together where you want the shadows to appear darker and more spaced out where you wish it to be lighter.

Use the cross hatching technique on the top of the mushroom. Have the lines slightly curved.

Toadstool Mushroom - Step 1

Draw in the mushrooms stem by creating an elongated U shape that’s wider at the bottom and smaller at the top. You can choose to draw the mushroom outline in pencil first then go over it with the fineliner after if that helps!

Add a horizontal oval around the top of the stem.

Add a line to the top of the stem.

Draw in the top of the mushroom. Then, add small horizontal ovals to the top of the mushroom.

Toadstool Mushroom - Step 5

Using your largest fineliner, fill in the entirety of the top of the mushroom except the ovals.

Toadstool Mushroom - Step 6

Using a smaller fineliner, draw in some lines coming out from the stem on the underside of the mushroom.

Use the hatching technique to add some slightly curved lines to the sides of the top of the mushroom. (They will only be visible on the ovals).

Toadstool Mushroom - Step 8

Use the cross hatching technique to add shading down one side of the mushrooms stem to create shadows. Have the lines closer together in the areas you wish to make look darker.

Hypholoma Capnoides Mushroom - Step1

Draw in the top of the mushroom as a semi-circle. You can choose to draw the mushroom outline in pencil first then go over it with the fineliner after if that makes it easier.

Hypholoma Capnoides Mushroom - Step 2

Then draw in the mushroom stem as an elongated U shape connecting to the semi-circle. Ensure the stem is smaller at the top and wider at the bottom.

Using a slightly smaller fineliner add stippling (dots) quite sparse all over the mushroom. Make sure to press gently so you don’t ruin the tip of your pen.

Create shadows by adding more dots closer together.

Mycena Inclinata Mushroom - Step 1

Using any of the fineliners, begin by drawing a horizonal squiggly line. You can choose to draw the mushroom outline in pencil first then go over it with the fineliner after if you prefer.

Draw in the top of the mushroom as an elongated curve connecting to either side of the squiggly line.

Then, draw in 2 long lines for the mushrooms stem.

Round it off at the bottom.
