How to Make a Set of Modern Crackers

* Paper - White, Dark Blue, Patterned
* White Pom Pom
* Pom Pom Maker
* Yarn
* Ribbon in Various Styles
* Washi Tape
* White Posca Pen
* Black Marker Pen
* Black Ballpoint Pen
* Pencil
* Glue
* Double Sided Tape
* Scissors
* Ruler
* Craft Knife
How to make
Measure and cut 3 pieces of white paper to cover the barrel and ends of the cracker. Then wrap and stick each piece around the cracker with glue or double sided tape.
To make a pom pom, open the pom pom maker and hold the two sides together as shown.
Wrap yarn around one side of the maker until it is filled up, then repeat with the other side.
Close the maker and carefully snip around the centre, as pictured.
Tie a piece of yarn tightly in between the two sides of the maker.
Remove the pom pom from the maker and repeat to make a second pom pom.
Now tie your pom poms onto your cracker, using the image as a guide.
Using pencil, write your guest's name on the centre of the cracker. When you are happy with it, go over it in black pen.
Tie some ribbon around your cracker to finish.
Using a white pen, draw some simple trees on your cracker in a repeating pattern.

Tip: You may wish to practise your drawings on scrap paper first!
