How to make
Print the wreath template provided, and create and print the name you wish to burn onto the box using Microsoft Word. Cut out the name and make sure it fits in the centre of the wreath.
Tape the Tracedown paper onto the box, graphite side down. Now tape the wreath and name on top of the Tracedown paper.
Start to trace the wreath, you will need to press quite firmly. Lift the tracedown paper to check you are applying enough pressure that the wreath design is transferred onto the box. If it is faint you can draw over it with a pencil.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the text onto the front of the box.
Allow the pyrography tool to heat up for approximately five to ten minutes. Use a round ended tip to begin with, as it was flow easier. Start with the outline and then colour in.
You can use a sharp scalpel to gently scratch away mistakes or scorch marks. Once you have finished burning use an eraser to rub out any pencil marks that can be seen.
