How to make
Choose your colour palette, I wanted to create a folk inspired pattern so choose dark blue, mid blue and red paint pens.
Begin by drawing a curved line around 10cm long using the navy paint pen, this will act as your foliage stem.
Add teardrop shapes along your foliage stem joining the opposite leaves at the same point along the stem.
Add a teardrop at the top of the stem and begin to colour in each of the leaf shapes before using the lighter blue to add details onto the leaves by drawing two lines on each leaf working out from the stem.
Using the red pen add your berries by drawing small circles and colouring in leaving a small circle in the middle uncoloured so that it looks although it is shining.
Now repeat the motif across the paper to create your pattern, drawing the same motif in different directions to create a balanced pattern.
