How To Make

Paint the eggs using acrylic paint. You will probably need several coats for full coverage.

Tip: Balance the egg on an egg cup when you paint it, so that you get an even coat without finger marks on it.

Starting at the bottom, paint just over half the egg with gilding paste. Place upside down in the egg cup for around 15 minutes.

Tip the gold flakes into a bowl and then dip the bottom of the egg into the gold flakes. Make sure that all the gilding paste is covered.

Use a soft brush to brush off the excess.

Using a towel, rub the egg quite hard to take off any small bits of gold that are sticking out and to shine the gold up a bit.

Your eggs are now complete!
