How to Make St George’s Day Bookmarks
Get into the St George’s Day spirit with these adorable 3D bookmarks. Follow our easy step-by-step guide to create a lion, dragon and knight, who are ready to celebrate with you this April!
This is a fantastic project to enjoy crafting with the kids! You can even use the bookmark characters to enjoy a mini puppet show and imaginative play.

Find the FREE template downloads by clicking the link below -
*Foam sheets: yellow, yellow plush, mustard and pale pink
*PVA glue
*Pencil
*Natural craft sticks
*Orange 7mm pom poms
*Scissors
*Black Posca pen
Step 1: Using the templates for the lion, draw around them with a pencil onto the foam and carefully cut them out with scissors.
Step 2: Once all pieces have been cut out, start to assemble the lion onto one craft stick using the images as a guide.
Step 3: To finish, add the extras; pom poms, googly eyes and draw on the nose and mouth with a Posca pen.
*Foam sheets: jade, light green and pale pink
*PVA glue

*Green feathers
*Scissors
*Black and White Posca pen
Step 1: Using the templates for the dragon, draw around them with a pencil onto the foam and carefully cut them out with scissors.
Step 2: Once all pieces have been cut out, start to assemble the dragon onto one craft stick using the images as a guide.
Step 3: To finish, add the feathers, leg and end of the tail. Draw on the nose, mouth and claws with a Posca pen.
*Foam sheets: red glitter, brown plush, silver hologram, beige and pale pink
*PVA glue
*Pencil
*Natural craft sticks
*Red feather
*Scissors
*Black Posca pen
Step 1: Using the templates for the knight, draw around them with a pencil onto the foam and carefully cut them out with scissors.
Step 2: Once all pieces have been cut out, start to assemble the knight onto one craft stick using the images as a guide.
Step 3: To finish, add the sword and shield. Draw on the nose, mouth and add the details to the helmet with a black Posca pen.
