Good but not made very well
The light did not work when I first put the batteries in. I checked the wiring, which consists of 2 very thin wires that are barely connected, finding it connected. I read the reviews about the light not working and decided to return it. Before I did, I decided to check the battery connection again only to find that the batteries go in the opposite way to how we would usually insert them in the UK. The light worked! I had to then get a glue gun to glue the battery compartment in place as it had come away. Poorly made with incorrect battery insertion, and the light only illuminates a small section of the tray. However, it is ok and a good size.

Light not working!!
Really nice thought, would have been great if the light worked, and a few more in the store for that matter. Went to take it back and tried one or two out with batteries and sadly none of them worked. The staff on the other hand were brilliant and helpful!!

Very poor light does not work
I received this as a Christmas gift so my other half dutifully purchased it in November and put it away for me. Unfortunately the light doesn’t work, well actually it occasionally works but 90% of the time. Don’t waste you money

Not worth buying
Have had to change this item three times and the lamp still broke, it broke on my last return so I just left it broken. Not very good

Lap tray
Just what I needed. I can have the light on to thread needles etc while my husband has the requisite no lights on to watch the TV! The cup holder can also double as a sequin/thread/stictch ripper/random things holder. Why didn't I have one of these years ago?!!

Consider the size
Not very good quality Light only worked intermittently and as lap tray is quite large it's not good for shorter people. I returned it and replaced it with a portable rechargeable lamp

Good size to cross stitch on,the light is very good and bright to view charts.
