How to make
If you're looking to keep things clean and simple with your cardmaking, paper folding is a great technique to experiment. Your folds can be as complicated or as simple as you like - we've created an origami heart for the focal point of this card.
Once the element is complete and secure to your card blank simply add a cardstock topper, your card's then ready to be written.
Wooden tile letters are a must for any papercrafter no matter what they're skill level. From 'New Home' sentiments like we've created to baby showers, anniversaries and everything in between there's no card these versatile little tiles can't be applied to.
For this 'New Home' design, strips of patterned cardstock have been trimmed and applied using a tape pen, and then the tiles simply stuck on top, using the foam pads on the back of the letter.
Card toppers are another item that are a staple for any papercrafter, there are lots to choose from in various size, shapes and materials. However, if you're just starting out start simple and experiment with different ways in which you'd like to use them.
This super-simple sentiment card has been made in under three minutes using a cutting mat, craft knife and metal ruler to create the central aperture for the greeting to sit in, and then the topper applied centrally - to create even more height you could use foam toppers.
If you have a steady hand with a pair of scissors why not try hand-cutting the sentiment for your notelet using patterned card!?
Use a scrap of card to first draw out a template to ensure the letters you intend to cut will fit on your card blank, once happy with the size of the letters stick them into place using tape.
