Step 3

You'll then be taken through to the mat preview screen, check everything is present and correct before clicking 'Continue'.

Dependent on what size cardstock you are using some of the mats may need to be amended to reflect this. To do this, select the relevant mat and then the correct material size from the drop-down menu. This will need to be completed for each mat colour.

Top Tip: individual design components can be moved in between mats to cut down on material wastage, simply select the element, click the three dots and select 'Move Object' followed by the desired mat.

Step 4

Once through to the machine set up screen, follow the on-screen instructions to cut out each of the design elements making sure to change the cut material as and when needed.

Top Tip: Use a scraper tool to ensure good contact between the mat and cardstock

Step 5

Crown Bunting Flags

To construct the EIIR crown bunting flags, one by one take each of the EIIR and crown components and apply embossing ink to the front of each, working quickly, sprinkle embossing powder over the inked surface, tap off any excess powder, then use a heat tool to set the powder.

Top Tip: Use tweezers to hold smaller elements in place while you set the embossing powder with the heat tool to avoid scorching your fingers.

Once each of the components has been embossed use a glue pen to secure them to the red bunting flags, then apply the whole design to the kraft cardstock flag base using double-sided tape.

Step 6

'70' Bunting Flags

Take the grey '7' and '0' and use a glue pen to secure them centrally to the blue bunting flags, then apply the whole design to the kraft cardstock flag base using double-sided tape.

Step 7

Union Flag Bunting Flag

Take the red and blue pieces that make up the Union Flag design and use a glue pen to adhere them to the white bunting flag base.

Once complete, apply the whole design to the kraft cardstock flag base using double-sided tape.

Step 8

Once all of the bunting flags have been constructed lay them out in the order you want them to appear once hung up - add in some plain bunting flags in amongst those with designs on them to break up the design - then flip them over so that they're face down.

Run twine along the back of the flags and secure in place with masking tape.

Top Tip: Using masking tape to adhere each of the flags to the twine means that each of the flags can easily be repositioned as and when needed.
