How to Machine Knit Cushions
Got a knitting machine and learnt the basics but not sure what to do now? Then why not create these amazing cushions by Katie Barber. They are made using DK yarn and can be knitted on our Silver Reed knitting machine.

Pattern Key for Pattern A, B and C
Each row and square on pattern represents one row of knitting and one stitch (needle).
X – Move stitch onto next needle to the right, keep existing needle in action.
O – Move stitch onto next needle to the left, keep existing needle in action.
Simple Stripe: Cushion Back Bottom Cast on 114 needles in a contrasting colour, and knit a few rows. Switch to Neon (Colour A). Knit 8 rows, switch to looser tension and knit another two rows, tighten tension again and knit another 8 rows.
Stripe and Check: Cushion Back Bottom Cast on 114 needles in a contrasting colour, and knit a few rows.
Horizontal and Vertical Stripe: Cushion Back Bottom Cast on 114 needles in a contrasting colour, and knit a few rows.
Fold knitting (cushion) around cushion pad, so that the wrong sides of the knitting are together. Laying the top of the back over the bottom just below the hem pinning in place.
