How to Make a Christmas Macrame Wreath

You will need

* Scissors
* Measuring tape
Cut your macrame yarn to the following lengths (to make one wreath):
* 2 x 1.2 meters
* 10 x 40cm
* 32 x 80cm
* 44 x 100cm
Take 5 of the 40cm strings and place them on the smaller ring and over the ends of the Half Square Knots, using the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.
Tie the strings to the larger ring using the Double Half Hitch Knots.
Repeat the other side.
Take 16 of the 80cm strings and place them on the smaller ring using the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.
Tie a row of Square Knots.
Tie a row of Alternating Square Knots. Then, take the following 4 strings and tie the strings to the larger ring using the Double Half Hitch Knots.
Tie a row of Alternating Square Knots and then a final Alternating Square Knots.
Take the following 6 strings and tie the strings to the larger ring using the Double Half Hitch Knots.
Repeat steps 6-8 on the other side.
Take 12 strings of 100cm and place them on the smaller ring using the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.
Tie seven rows of Alternating Square Knots ending with one Square Knot.
Tie the strings on the larger ring using the Double Half Hitch Knot, except the inner 12.
Repeat steps 9-10 on the other side.
Add 20 strings to the smaller ring using the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.
Tie a row of Square Knots.
Tie six more rows of Alternating Square Knots.
Tie three rows of Decreasing Alternating Square Knots.
Tie all the strings on the larger ring using the Double Half Hitch Knot.
Cut a strip of cardboard to use as a template or the wrapper of the Return of the Mac and use it trim the fringe.
Trim all around. The fringe should not be longer than 5cm or it will flop on the side and top.
Cut a piece of string and add bells if desired.
Add to the loops on top of the rings.
