How to Make a Geometric Box
Geometrics are well and truly here to stay for 2020, and I for one can't get enough of them! Triangles and hexagons are my go-to, however if you're a dab hand with a pencil and pad much more ambitious designs can also be achieved.
Make something special for a special person; all it takes is some beautiful paint pairings and a bit of masking tape to create this pretty geometric box, perfect for a birthday or Mother's Day!

How to make
Start by masking off a section of the box, adhering craft tape in a straight line from one edge to another – my design wraps around the entire body of the box, however you could use each side as a separate panel.
Take one of your paints and apply to the masked off section – for a box of this size two or three colours work best. Leave the paint to dry before applying a second coat and removing the tape. Continue to leave the paint to dry before masking off your second section.
Repeat step two until the whole of the box is covered. You could also include exposed areas of the box within your design. When doing this make sure to use complimentary tones to the grain of wood, however colours that also provide contrast. For example, white paint on dark wood, or a lime green on pine.
