Step 1

Begin by stamping the reindeer onto smooth stamping card, using the black archival ink pad.

Step 2

Work with the Artiste watercolour markers to colour the reindeer.

Use water to create lighter colour tones. Scribble onto an acrylic block, and pick up the colour and water using a fine brush.

Step 3

On a separate piece of smooth stamping card, create a muted green watercolour background.

Use a larger acrylic block to scribble two different greens onto. Add a little water to blend, before placing the card on top. Press down slightly, then lift it off.

Top Tip: A few additional splashes of water could be added before leaving the background to dry naturally.

Step 4

Trim down a 5 x 7" white card blank, by cutting away a 2.5cm strip from the right-hand side.

Carefully fussy-cut the reindeer out to create an embellishment topper.

Step 5

Use the spare strip from the card blank to hand letter a 'Merry Christmas' caption, using a black fine liner pen, in a smooth, continuous line.

Trim down the banner to 20mm in height, and the same width as the card front.

Step 6

Use plenty of glue from a glue stick to fix the water colour background in place onto the card front. This should smooth out any warps in the card, or leave under a heavy book over night.

Attach the caption banner towards the base of the card with a few 3D foam pads.

Cover the reverse of the reindeer with more foam pads, cutting them in half with a craft knife to fit into smaller areas.

Step 7

Position the prepared reindeer onto the front of the card slightly towards the right-hand side.

Add several clear gems in two sizes over the background to look like a delicate snowfall. Also add one small gem on the reindeer's right antler to finish.
