How to Make

Step 1

Cut one of the tubes in half. Take one of the pieces and use your fingers to squash the middle together part in. Cover the ends in masking tape to hold it's shape.

Step 2

Glue the squashed tube in between the other two tubes (you might want to hold them in place with masking tape whilst the glue sets).

Step 3

Mark a line in pencil 4cm down from the top of the binoculars. Paint the two sections in contrasting colours.

Step 4

Cut a 1cm wide strip of patterned card that is long enough to fit around the binoculars. Glue around the line between the colours.

Step 5

Use a pair of scissors to poke a hole 2cm down from the top on each side of the binoculars. Push a split pin through the ribbon, on either side about 1cm from the ends. Push the split pin through the hole and open it up to secure in place.
