How to Make Clay Love Hearts

Roll out the clay to the thickness of a £1 coin using a rolling pin to ensure it's nice and level.
Cut the hearts using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, or alternatively create a paper template, apply to the clay and use a craft knife to cut them out.
Stamp your message using wooden alphabet stamps.
Remove excess clay and leave to set hard – to avoid the clay cracking and curling up, place each of the hearts on a wire cooling rack.
Once the clay has set, use a fine sandpaper to lightly remove any rough edges.
Use pastel coloured craft paint to decorate.
