How to Make Halloween Treat Boxes
Make your own treat boxes this Halloween with some mache boxes and a bit of paint – spooky and fun!

Paint the entire box with two coats of black paint, leaving each layer to dry before applying the next one. Cut two wing shapes and ears from black cardstock and stick to the base of the box with tacky glue. Use wiggle eyes and white paint to create the bat's facial features, using the image as a guide.
Paint the entire box with two coats of white paint, leaving each layer to dry before applying the next one. With a pencil mark out the eyes, nose and mouth and then go over with a thin paintbrush and black paint. Leave to dry.
Paint the entire box with two coats of dark purple paint, leaving each layer to dry before applying the next one. Position eight different sizes of wiggle eye centrally on the lid of the box, remove the adhesive backing and stick in place. Paint on a white mouth.
Paint the entire box with two coats of green paint, leaving each layer to dry before applying the next one. Mark out the monster's hair with a pencil on both the box lid and the base, and then go over with black paint. Position two large wiggle eyes and then use black paint to create the nose, mouth and scar. Cut bolts from black cardstock. Using a craft knife carefully create a slit in both sides of the box for the blots to go through. Secure on the inside of the box with making tape.
