How to make

Step 1

Tie the 1 x 3.3 meter of string on your star or ring with a Lark’s Head Knot.

Step 2

On each of the two strands, tie 4 strings with the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.

Step 3

Using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 4

Tie a 2.7 meter string at the end of each line of Double Half Hitches with the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.

Step 5

Using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 6

Turn your macrame and using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 7

Turn your macramé back.

Step 8

Using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction and then tie at the end of each line two 2.4 meter strings with the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.

Step 9

Using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 10

Tie a Square Knot with the middle four strings.

Step 11

Tie two lines of six Diagonal Square knots going in the opposite direction.

Step 12

Using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 13

Tie at the end of each line three 2-meter strings with the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.

Step 14

Using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 15

Turn your macramé and using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 16

Turn your macramé back and tie a Square Knot with the middle four strings and then tie two lines of six Diagonal Square knots going in the opposite direction.

Step 17

Turn your macramé and using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 18

Turn your macrame back and using the two strings in the middle as two guides, tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 19

Tie at the end of each line three 1.3 meter strings with the Reversed Lark’s Head Knot.

Step 20

Tie two lines of Double Half Hitches going in the opposite direction.

Step 21

Tie a Square Knot with the middle four strings.

Step 22

Cut the strings and brush your tassels.

Step 23

Wrap the tassel around the four strings under the Square Knot and gather in the middle.

Step 24

Lift the tassel up.

Step 25

Tie a Square Knot underneath the tassel.

Step 26

Tie a Square Knot on either side.

Step 27

Tie a tassel following steps 23-25 under the two new Square Knots.

Step 28

Tie a Square Knot on either side.

Step 29

Tie a Tassel following steps 22-24 under the two new Square Knots.

Step 30

Tie a Square Knot on either side.

Step 31

Tie a Tassel following steps 22-24 under the two new Square Knots.

Step 32

Next to do the last tassels, tie a diagonal line of five Square Knots.

Step 33

From the last Square Knot on the left and right of the macramé, tie a sinnet of two Square Knots.

Step 34

Repeat under the next Square Knot, and tie a sinnet of two Square Knots.

Step 35

Under the next Square Knot, tie a sinnet of three Square Knots.

Step 36

Lift your tassels and tie a horizontal line of Double Half Hitches on the 1-meter string, make sure the ends on both sides are the same length (approx 25cm on each side).

Step 37

Turn your macramé back and tie a new horizontal line of Double Half Hitches on a 1-meter string, turn your macramé.

Step 38

Unravel and trim the strings and the tassels at the desired length.
