Roughly draw a line across the middle of the back of the plate then around the inner rim.
To create the neck, cut away approximately an eighth of the outer edge and cut out the inner semi circle.
Create the head by rounding off the square edges with scissors.
Cut out a triangle from the black crepe paper and glue it on the head to create the beak.
Cover the plate in glue and apply the pink feathers.
Stick on a googly eye and black pipe cleaner legs to finish.
Cut a paper plate in half.
Stick the paper plate onto the gold crepe paper and cut off the excess.
Cut a triangle from black crepe paper and stick it to the birds face, add a googly eye next to it.
Use glue to attach some feathers for a wing.
Cut some small pieces of bright pipe cleaners and glue them onto the end of the birds body (to create a tail). Add pieces of black pipe cleaners for legs.
Draw a large 'S' shape on the back of the paper plate. Then cut it out.
Cut some small hearts from different colours of crepe paper.
Draw a closed eye on the rounded end of the bird shape.
Glue the heart shapes onto the bird's body.
Next, glue some bright feathers onto the pointy end of the bird to create a tail.
