Strap
Ch 101 (or the length you wish your strap to be), tr in 4th ch from hook and in each ch to end, skip 3 sts on rnd 27 of the bag, slst in next st. Fasten off, secure and weave in your end. Do not attach the other end of the strap yet as it will need to be fed through the mushroom cap first. (97tr)
Cap
Using 'Yarn B', repeat rnds 1 - 6 of the base. (36dc)
Rnd 7: *ch3, skip 3 sts on previous rnd, 2dc, *2dc in next st, 5dc* twice, 2dc in next st* rep from first * once more. (36dc, 2 ch-sps)
Rnd 8: *3dc in ch-sp, *2dc in next st, 6dc* twice, 2dc in next st, 3dc* rep from first * once more (48dc)

Rnd 14: In BLO of previous rnd and exposed BLO of rnd 12 at the same time, dc in each st around. Fasten off, secure and weave in ends. (72dc)
Now make the spots before continuing with the underside of the cap.
Spots (make 5)
Using 'Yarn A' make a MC.
Ch1 (does not count as a st), 8 htr into ring, slst to join. (8htr)
Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew the spot to your cap.
Sew the spots into position on your cap, being mindful not to cover the holes for the straps to come through. Secure and weave in your ends.
Cap Underside
Rnd 15: With 'Yarn A', and cap WS facing, begin with a standing dc where you finished rnd 14 of the cap. 3 dc, *dc2tog, 4dc* 11 times, dec2tog, 1dc. (60dc)
Rnd 16: 1dc, *dc2tog, 3dc* 11 times, dc2tog, 2dc. (48dc)
Rnd 17: *2dc, dc2tog* 12 times. (36dc)
Rnd 18: (These holes should line up with the strap holes in the cap, adjust the placement if necessary.) 2 slst, ch4, skip 3 sts from previous rnd, 15 slst, ch4, skip 3 sts from previous rnd, 13 slst. Fasten off, secure and weave in ends. (30 slst, 2 ch-sps)
Now thread your strap from underneath the cap through the ch-sp from rnd 18 then rnd 7, fold it over and thread back through the other two strap holes, through rnd 7, then rnd 18. Ensure your strap lays flat and in the right direction, then sew the end to rnd 27 of the base securely, leaving a gap of 15 sts after where the other end of the strap is joined.
Weave in any ends.
Your toadstool bag is now complete!
