How to Make a New Year's Headband

Make your own novelty headwear to ring in the new year! These fun headbands are so simple and can be made in minutes – they'll be a great project for crafting with the kids at home.

Take silly photos with your colourful new year's headband on and make the New Year's Eve celebrations extra memorable. You can even use you headband again next year – just change the last number!

You Will Need

A plain headband

Hot glue gun

Foam sheets

Scissors

A pencil

Tinsel pipe cleaners

Step 1

Draw and cut out the numbers required from the foam sheets.

 

Heat up the glue gun and then apply some glue onto the top of the headband (roughly the length of the base of each number), position the number and hold in place for a few seconds.

Step 2

To hide the glue, glue a long line along all the bases of the numbers and then carefully stick on a pipe cleaner leaving a length at each end.

 

Curl the ends of the pipe cleaner using a pencil to finish.

Step 3
Your headband is now ready to wear and celebrate the new year!
