Get professional results effortlessly with the Singer Confidence 7465 Sewing Machine.

This electronic sewing machine gives you a range of features to optimise your results every time. It includes 50 different stitches, including utility, decorative, quilting, stretch and buttonhole stitches, with the six most popular available through the direct stitch selection on the front of the machine. You can select other stitches easily using the LED screen and selector buttons. With just a simple push of a button, you can choose the stitch and optimum settings for length, width (up to 7mm), balance, pressure and tension.

With a maximum sewing speed of 750 stitches per minute, projects can be sewn quickly and easily without compromising on the finished quality. The automatic needle threader and the ability to work freehand with the machine's drop-feed feature also make this a popular machine.

Further features include a stitch locking function, two automatic one-step buttonholes, centre zigzag taper, automatic reverse, electronic twin needle control, 13 needle positions, automatic presser foot pressure control, a Drop & Sew bobbin system, automatic bobbin winding clutch, extra-high presser foot lifter, a six-segment feeding system, box feed, drop feed and snap-on presser feet.

The machine also helps to illuminate your work area, with two LED lights providing optimal viewing. The long-lasting bulbs (100,000 hours) are designed to stay cool, no matter how long you're working on the machine.

I read the reviews first and was so pleased to see that Hobbycraft was also so competitive on price compared with high street and online retailers. The machine itself is perfect for me as I'm just getting back into sewing and it does all the basics wonderfully and has plenty of bells and whistles to make this a great all-rounder. So easy to set up, I had great fun practising the array of stitches and just getting the feel of the machine. It handles really well, operates smoothly and is very sturdy. Love it!

I have been doing a sewing course and felt ready for a more advanced machine so just over a week ago, I purchased a singer 7465 confidence. How aptly named - confidence - This machine is a whole, new, wonderful sewing experience. 49 stitches, top loading bobbin, auto tension, auto threader. The foot pedal is fabulous, so much easy control. You can go as fast or as slow as you want. This machine is a total joy to work with. As someone new to machine sewing, my 'confidence' is growing daily. If you want a great machine which is easy to use and gives a really professional finish, you wont go wrong with this one! *****

Rated 5 out of 5 by mrslemouser from Sewing Revelation After using my old sewing machine for many years (circa 1970's) I finally decided to upgrade for a shiny new all singing all dancing one. Wow what a revelation so easy to use and set up. No more fiddling about setting the stitch and the tension, which was always a trial and error exercise on my old machine. Now just whip out the new machine plug in and go. Would recommend this one, wish I had done it ages ago would have saved myself so much time and thread. Staff in Hobby craft were so helpful and knowledgeable when purchasing, even booked some lessons on how to use my new machine and its features which is great, and they come free when you buy a new sewing machine from them. Am very impressed overall.

My previous sewing machine was still working okay, but dated from the late 1980s and was fiddly if I wanted to change the stitch selection. This new machine is aptly named. It has given me more confidence as someone who is returning to sewing after a long gap. It's just so easy to get started with it. I love being able to switch between straight and zig zag by just pressing one button. I also thought the Hobbycraft price was a bargain. I compared the price of this model with other online outlets, and the Hobbycraft price was the lowest by far.

It’s light enough to take with me when I travel but robust enough to withstand the sort of usage I will be putting it through. As a sewer, I’m moving up to intermediate stage and wanted something to help me create more stylish pieces; the wide range of stitch combinations allows me to experiment without being overwhelmed with technology or complex instructions. Lots of handy updates - threader, bobbin channel etc, which make sewing more easygoing. Good value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brunetta from A great machine and very easy to use I bought this machine when mine gave up after 30 years but it was never as good as this even when new! Mind it wasn't a Singer! Absolutely love it so far. So easy to thread and wind bobbin. The needle threader is great and very easy to use when you follow the instructions. I have already made a buttonhole and sewed a button on a garment. The instructions are really easy to follow! I bought it for making curtains and repairs and can't wait to use it more, really love it! Nice and quiet and I love that it has a container in the machine to keep feet and bits and bobs etc. Also the cover is perfect, very light and easy to put on and take off with a cut out section to locate the handle for easy transportation. My old machine had a hard cover and a box which was so heavy and a pain to get out, in fact at times I couldn't be bothered to get it out so it is nice to have a light cover! If you are thinking of buying this machine, you won't be disappointed!

This particular Confindence model ticked all the right boxes for me with plenty of pre-set stiches, a needle threader which once you get the hang of it works really well and a very helpful lady at my local store to get you started. Particularly like the buttonhole foot which automatically works out the correct size based on your button which you drop into the back of the foot.

It arrived with slightly damaged packing (broken polystyrene) and the machine made a loud, mechanical, clattering noise when I sewed with it, although it was able to make all the stitch samples when I tried them out. We took it back to my local Hobbycraft store in Aberdeen where the staff were excellent. Kim tried out the machine (Thank you, Kim), and amid much laughter with my husband and myself, (and wry comments from other staff members about its being audible at the other end of the shop), we were given a shiny new replacement on the spot, which was tried out in store in front of us, and has been excellent. After sales service second-to-none! Ten out of ten for the Aberdeen store staff!
