Knit the trunk in Beige and assemble the tree as per the instructions for the stocking stitch tree.
The trees are strung onto a knitted i cord.
Using 4mm Double Pointed Needles, cast on 3 stitches.
Knit all 3 stitches.
The knitted stitches are now on the right-hand needle. Place this needle in your left hand and slide the stitches to the right end of the needle.
Keeping the working yarn to the back of the work, knit all 3 stitches.
The working yarn will be coming from stitch 3, across the back of the work to knit stitch 1, then stitch 2 and stitch 3.
Make sure the tension is kept tight across stitches 1 and 2.
*Place the needle in your left hand and slide the stitches to the right end of the needle. Keeping the working yarn to the back, knit all 3 stitches again.
* Repeat from * to * until the i cord measures two metres or your desired length.
Place stitch markers along the i cord at 15cm intervals to mark the placement of the trees.
To create a hanging loop at either end of the i cord, fold over an inch inch at either end and sew the cord onto itself.
Using yarn that corresponds to the colour of each tree, sew the trees through the pointed top and onto the i cord at the points marked by the stitch markers.
In between the trees, sew a medium sized pompom onto the i cord.
Your garland is now ready to be hung.
