Head

Round 1: Using a 6mm hook and yarn A, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 6dc into magic loop. (6 sts)

Round 4: [2dc, 2dc in next st] 6 times. (24 sts)

Rounds 6 - 8: 1dc in each st for 3 rounds. (30 sts)

Round 9: 9dc, [1dc, 2dc in the next st] 6 times, 9dc. (36 sts)

(18 sts)Create eye dents (if desired) by using the yarn and darning needle to sew through the back of the head and out the front where you want the dent to be, then re-insert through the front (making sure to catch a stitch), and out the back. Pull tight to create the dent, do this for both eye areas and fasten off.

Round 28: [1dc, dc2tog] 6 times. (12 sts)

Insert toy stuffing, and fasten off by picking up all the front loops and pull tight to close, leave a long tail, and use this to make a loop for hanging on the back on the head.

Eyes (make 2)

Round 1: Using a 4.5mm hook and yarn C, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 6dc into magic loop. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2dc in each st. (12 sts)

Fasten off leaving a long tail, and stitch these onto Riley's head at the eye dent areas you created.

Add light detail to the eyes by stitching through some of yarn B to create accents.

To make eyelids and nostrils: Using a 6mm hook and yarn A, insert hook into head fabric, and dc5 following the top of the eye curve. Repeat this process on each side of the top of the nose to create the nostrils.

Ears: (make 2)

Round 1: Using a 6mm hook and yarn A, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 4dc into magic loop. (4 sts)

Round 2: (1dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (6 sts)

Round 3: (2dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (8 sts)

Round 4: (3dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (10 sts)

Rounds 5 - 6: 1dc in each st for 2 rounds. (10 sts)

Round 7: (Dc2tog) 5 times. (5 sts)

Fold the bottom edge of the ear in half and stitch in place to create an ear fold. Make two and attach these to the head.

Front Horn

Round 1: Using a 6mm hook and yarn B, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 4dc into magic loop. (4 sts)

Round 2: 1dc in each st. (4 sts)

Round 3: (1dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (6 sts)

Round 4: 1dc in each st. (6 sts)

Round 5: (2dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (8 sts)

Round 6: 1dc in each st. (8 sts)

Round 7: (3dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (10 sts)

Round 8: 1 dc in each st. (10 sts)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing on to Riley's nose.

Rear Horn

Round 1: Using a 6mm hook and yarn B, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 4dc into magic loop. (4 sts)

Round 2: 1dc in each st. (4 sts)

Round 3: (1dc, 2dc in the next st) 2 times. (6 sts)

Round 4: 1 dc in each st. (6 sts)

Round 5: 1dc in each st. (6 sts)

Slightly stuff horns and attach to the head/nose using a whip stitch.

Hat

Round 1: Using a 9mm hook and yarn D, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 6dc into magic loop. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2dc in each st. (12 sts)

Round 3: (1dc, 2dc in the next st) 6 times. (18 sts)

Round 4: (2dc, 2dc in the next st) 6 times. (24 sts)

Round 5: 1dc in each st. (24 sts)

Round 6: 1dc in each st, ch1 and turn. (24 sts)

Next you will be working back and forth to create the ear holes.

Row 7: 10dc, ch1 and turn. (10 sts)

Row 8: (2dc in the next st) 10 times, ch1 and turn. (20 sts)

Row 9: (1dc, 2dc in the next st) 10 times, ch1 and turn. (30 sts)

Row 10: 12 ss, 1 dc, 1htr, 1 tr, ch1, 1tr, 1 htr, 1dc, 12 ss. Ch4, skip 2 sts and ss into the next st from round 6 to start making the other half of the hat rim.

Repeat rows 7 – 10.

14 ss to connect the front hat rim to the rear hat rim. You will notice two holes in the rim of the hat, and these are for Riley's ears.

Create a chin strap by threading yarn through the hat, and across the front in-between the ear spaces, and tie these under Riley's chin.

Camera Body

Round 1: Using a 4.5mm hook and yarn C, ch1, 2dc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 12dc, (2dc in the next st) 2 times, then working along underside of the chain, (2dc into the next st) 2 times, 12dc, (2dc in the next st) 3 times. (40 sts)

Round 2: 2dc in the next st, dc14, (2dc in the next st) 6 times, 14dc, (2dc in the next st) 5 times. (52 sts)

Round 3: 2dc, 2dc in the next st, 12dc, 2dc in the next st, 2dc, 2dc in the next st, 4dc, 2dc in the next st, 3dc, 2dc in the next st, 12dc, 2dc in the next st, 3dc, 2dc in the next st, 5dc, 2dc in the next st, leaving last st unworked. (59 sts)

Round 4: In BLO 1dc in each st. (59 sts)

Rounds 5 - 6: 1dc in each st for 2 rounds. (59 sts)

Round 7: 1htr in each st. (59 sts)

Round 8: 20htr, (htr2tog) 6 times, 20htr, (htr2tog) 5 times. (49 sts)

Rounds 9 - 14: 1htr in each st for 6 rounds. (49 sts)

Change to Yarn G.

Rounds 15 - 16: 1dc in each st for 2 rounds. (49 sts)

Round 17: In BLO (dc2tog) 2 times, 16dc, (dc2tog) 4 times, 15dc, (dc2tog) 3 times. (40 sts)

Round 18: (Dc2tog) 2 times, 14dc, (dc2tog) 3 times, 13dc, (dc2tog) 2 times. (34 sts)

Round 19: 17dc, dc2tog, 13dc, dc2tog. (32 sts)

Fasten off and leave a long tail. Stuff the camera body and use the tail to weave the opening of the camera closed.

Camera Lens

Round 1: Using a 4.5mm hook and yarn F, make a magic loop. Ch1 (does not count as a st) 6dc into magic loop. (6 sts)

Round 2: 2dc in each st. (12 sts)

Round 3: (1dc, 2dc in the next st) 6 times. (18 sts)

Round 4: (2dc, 2dc in the next st) 6 times. (24 sts)

Round 5: (3dc, 2dc in the next st) 6 times. (30 sts)

Change to Yarn G.

Round 6: (4dc, 2dc in the next st) 6 times. (36 sts)

Round 7 - 9: 1dc in each st for 3 rounds. (36 sts)

Add light accents to the lens by adding some stitches with yarn B. Pin the lens to the camera body. Attach ¾ of the way round with a whip stitch, stuff, and then complete attaching the last ¼.

Camera Strap

Using a 4.5mm hook and yarn E, ch 112, starting in the 3rd chain from the hook, 1tr in each st. (110 sts)

Stitch each end of the strap to the camera body.
