Kate Palfreeman - Artisan

On leaving school I became a technical designer, creating and sizing clothing patterns with step-by-step instructions for their manufacture. This took me to Egypt where I worked for 3 years, designing, and making clothing incorporating western and Arabic styles.

After returning from Egypt and having a family, I did my NVQ in soft furnishings, creating lots of cushion and curtains, this quickly took me on to quilting and still to this day creating quilts with my sewing machine.
