The Silver 721D Overlocker Machine is a lightweight machine that offers easy threading and fantastic versatility. The reliable machine makes stitching easy, with a range of functions designed to give you a more professional finish.

The 3 or 4 thread machine has a built-in tension adjusting device, differential feed and stitch length (1.1-4.0) functions, automatic looper threader, built-in rolled hem and upper knife clutch device, as well as a detachable extension plate for free arm sewing.

It also allows for variable stitch width of between 2.3 and 7.0mm, with an automatic safety switch which is activated when the looper cover is opened. Colour-coded thread paths and a self-threading lower looper aid quick threading – simply lay the thread into the guide, press the switch and the lower looper will be threaded.

In addition, there is a tension release button that enables you to remove fabric easily whilst maintaining pre-set tensions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sue HD from Ok, but limited information This is my first overlocker, so limited information i can offer on how it rates compared with other makes. However, I hope this might be helpful if you are considering purchasing: Normally I look for information on the Internet (youtube) to aid my learning. Information on this make and model is either missing or well hidden. So i had to use trial and error to learn how to thread it. I expect this will be a recurring theme for learning and troubleshooting. The other point is the bundle... why 2 spools of thread?? You need 4. So just make sure you add a couple more if you haven’t already got them. Those things aside, I'm looking forward to learning and using this overlocker. I have managed to thread it and it seems to be working well.

It comes threaded up it would be a good idea to photo how it is threaded, the instructions are clear so no problem threading. Very impressed with this machine I am still practicing on the material I want to see but can’t wait to use it properly.

We've followed the instructions and one thread constantly snaps or the machine punches the holes in the fabric but doesn't create the chain stitch it's meant to. Sadly cannot return as the email used when buying was mistyped so we have no receipt.
